Learn to recite the Qur’an with Tajweed

Learn the rules of Tajweed online with our experienced and qualified teachers. Our programmes cover various levels, so we welcome students of all abilities; from learning the basics of Arabic Alphabets, to advanced level – perfecting the recitation of the Qur’an.

How does it work?
  1. We will get in touch with you via email within 48 hours of your first session registration to confirm your selected day, time, and length.
  2. After that, we will assign you to a teacher and set up your first class.
  3. In addition to the one-hour class you have paid for, your first lesson will include a complimentary 15-minute assessment.
  4. You will receive an email with instructions on how to join the lesson because all of our classes are conducted over Zoom.
  5. Should you choose to proceed with additional sessions, the email will contain instructions on what you need to do.

What is Tajweed?

Tajweed means to make something beautiful and to give each letter its right with its description and origin.

So why do we need to study Tajweed?

Allah (SWT) said to us in the Qur’an:

“And recite the Qur’an clearly with Tartil (in a distinct and measured tone).” Surah Al-Muzzammil [ 73:4]

Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,

“The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Qur’an will be with the honourable and obedient scribes (angels) and he who recites the Qur’an and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have two rewards.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

This tajweed course is suitable for anyone. Whether you are a complete beginner or have studied the rules before, we will assess you to understand where you need to continue from.

Our experienced and qualified teachers will teach you the theory, demonstrate, listen to you reading and provide you with constant feedback.
