What will be taught on the course?
In this course you will learn about the 10 Companions of the Prophet ﷺ who were promised Paradise. The Prophet’s ﷺ Companions (May Allah (SWT) be pleased with them) were blessed to have met and witness his teachings, actions and exemplary behaviour. The Companions believed in the Prophet ﷺ and his Message with absolute and unwavering faith, and their commitment to Islam was such that they remained steadfast in the face of intense opposition and persecution. The Companions played a crucial role in early Islamic history and their legacies continue to shape the Islamic world and inspire Muslims throughout the world.
What are the expected learning outcomes?
During the course, we expect students to:-
- Learn about each of the 10 Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, who were promised Paradise and why they were promised Paradise.
- Learn about the exceptional contributions to Islam that each of the 10 Companions made, which made them stand out from amongst all the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ.
- Learn about why the Prophet ﷺ himself selected the likes of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, Umar ibn Al-Khattab, Uthmaan ibn ‘Affan and Ali ibn Abu Taalib as advisors and leaders.
