What will be taught on the course?
In this course you will learn about the essentials of cleanliness, including what makes us unclean and impure and how to become clean and pure by performing ghusl (bath) and wudu (with water and dry ritual purification “Tayammum”) correctly. You will also learn the essentials of Salah, including the different categories of Salah (i.e. obligatory and recommended) and how to perform your Salah correctly.

During the course, we expect students to:-
- Understand the essential details of purification and prayer.
- Analyse and correct mistakes in wudu and prayer.
- Identify the different categories of prayer (Fardh, Sunnah and Nafl).
- Perform ghusl, wudu and prayer properly with confidence.

Who is the teacher?
Shaykh Haaris Abdus Samad – Lead Islamic Law Teacher >
Shaykh Haaris Abdus Samad first began his educational journey by acquiring knowledge during his youth from his beloved father. After successfully memorising the Qur’an at Islamic Da’wah Academy (Leicester), he furthered his studies by completing the Arabic and Alimiyyah programmes at Ebrahim College (London). He subsequently spent his final Hadith year at Jamiah Sirajul Uloom (Leyton). Through his educational journey, he has been inspired and motivated by his respected teachers; Shaykh Mujahid Ali, Shaykh Ashraf Zaman, Mufti Khalidul Haq, Shaykh Mohammed Sbini, Mufti Habeel, Shaykh Harun Sidat, and Shaykh Yusuf Khoti. He has served as an Imam at Hayes Muslim Centre, teaching both adults and children. Shaykh Haaris is currently a lecturer at Ebrahim College (London), a Khateeb at various Masjids in West London, the Headteacher at Safar Academy (Slough) and part time Imam at Masjid Hira (Feltham).
