Shaykh Muhammad Mehdi

Lead Islamic History Teacher

Shaykh Mohammed Mehdi commenced his studies at Darul Uloom (Bradford), where he successfully completed memorisation of the Qur’an and studied the first few years of the Alimiyyah programme. He subsequently completed the Alimiyyah programme at Darul Uloom (Bury) under the tutelage of many illustrious Scholars, from whom he also obtained Ijazah in the books of Hadith. He then went on to further his studies on Fiqh in Jamiatul Ilm Wal Huda (Blackburn).

After completing his formal studies, he has been studying a range of topics under the tutelage of the renowned Hadith Scholar, Shaykh Abdullah Ibn Yusuf Al Judai. Shaykh Mohammed is currently a lecturer at Ebrahim College (London) and Q-Iman (London), as well as an Imam at a Globe Town Mosque (London).

Shaykh Haaris Abdus Samad

Lead Islamic Law Teacher

Shaykh Haaris Abdus Samad first began his educational journey by acquiring knowledge during his youth from his beloved father. After successfully memorising the Qur’an at Islamic Da’wah Academy (Leicester), he furthered his studies by completing the Arabic and Alimiyyah programmes at Ebrahim College (London). He subsequently spent his final Hadith year at Jamiah Sirajul Uloom (Leyton). Through his educational journey, he has been inspired and motivated by his respected teachers; Shaykh Mujahid Ali, Shaykh Ashraf Zaman, Mufti Khalidul Haq, Shaykh Mohammed Sbini, Mufti Habeel, Shaykh Harun Sidat, and Shaykh Yusuf Khoti.

Shaykh Haaris has served as an Imam at Hayes Muslim Centre, teaching both adults and children. Shaykh Haaris is currently a lecturer at Ebrahim College (London), a Khateeb at various Masjids in West London, the Headteacher at Safar Academy (Slough) and part time Imam at Masjid Hira (Feltham).

Shaykh Mohammad Sbini

Islamic History Teacher

Shaykh Sbini was born in Damascus (Syria) and studied Shariah at the Shariah Institute for Dawah and Guidance (Abu An-noor) under the tutelage of the Grand Mufti of Syria, Shaykh Ahmad Keftaro (RA). He furthered his education at The International Faculty for Dawah (Damascus).

Shaykh Sbini is a senior lecturer at Ebrahim College (London) and Q-Iman (London). He currently teaches the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the Stories of the Prophets (PBUT) (Qasas Al-Anbiya), the Science of Hadith (Ulumul Hadith), and the Principles of Jurisprudence (Usulul Fiqh).

Shaykh Sbini has an amazing oratory ability to bring alive our Islamic history. His expert knowledge lends to him filling his lessons with golden nuggets of details that transport participants into the past, as though they are intimately present during the conversations and events that took place.


Visiting Lecturers​

Mufti Abdul Kadir Barkatulla

Mufti Abdul Kadir Barkatullah is a prominent UK based Shari'ah advisor with a strong background in economics and finance. He is a member of the Shari'ah Supervisory Committees of several Islamic financial institutions, including United National Bank, Alburaq of Arab Banking Corporation London and Lloyds TSB. Mufti Barkatullah is one of the Shari'ah Judges at the Islamic Shari'ah Council. He also has extensive experience of dealing with socio-cultural issues affecting Muslims living in the UK.

Shaykh Abdullah Hasan

Shaykh Abdullah Hasan holds an Imam Diploma, BA, and Ijaza Aliyah in Islamic Studies from a European seminary. He has studied at the College of Fiqh Wa Usuluhu and has a Diploma in Arabic from Zarqa Private University. He has received private training from renowned Scholars in Jordan and the Middle East. Shaykh Abdullah holds certificates and Diplomas in person-centred psychotherapy, marriage and youth counselling, and SFBT psychotherapy, and has provided therapy services for over a decade.

After completing a Master's degree in Applied Psychology, Shaykh Abdullah is now pursuing a Doctorate in the same field, as well as a Masters Programme in Medical Psychology. Shaykh Abdullah’s expertise also extends to Zakat and Islamic philanthropic studies. Having served as an Imam in various UK Muslim communities, Shaykh Abdullah brings over 10 years of experience in management, leadership, and training within the third sector. Currently, he serves as a teacher of Islamic psychology and counselling, a Consultant Counselling Psychologist at Gift Foundation. Additionally, he provides Chaplaincy counselling from multiple mosques in London.

Shaykh Abdullah is the founder of Imams Against Domestic Abuse (IADA), the British Imams, Scholars Contributions and Achievements (BISCA Awards), and the British Institutes, Mosques, and Associations (BIMA Awards). He is a member of The Association of Islamic Mental-Health Specialists (AIMS) and actively contributes to numerous other community organisations and projects, nationally and globally.
